If you visited this site roughly between the hours of 9 and 11 p.m. on Tuesday, you probably noticed that things looked amiss.
It was during that period of time that Write State of Mind underwent a bit of a live redesign. (Check me out with the web design-speak.) I decided to make the site more appealing to my viewers who don’t use my preferred screen resolution of 1280 x 1024. I admit I should have ensured accessibility before going live to be sure that the site looked good on all screen resolutions (well, excluding 800 x 600, does anyone still use that?).
Would’ve. Could’ve. Should’ve. DID.
I have seriously taken it up a notch when it comes to designing. Before, I could have cared less about other screen resolutions not viewing one of my sites as I do, but it’s nice to see that has changed. All the time and energy I put into this was worth it...and boy, do I mean time and energy. Last night was the first time I’ve gotten in bed at a somewhat reasonable hour of 2 a.m., yet I lied there restless for over an hour. Maybe I could make it as a web designer. Ahh, who am I kidding?
It’s nice to know that all my hard work is being recognized, though. I am pleased to announce that, until about 1 p.m. yesterday, Write State of Mind was the number one weekly top website by score on CSS Heaven.
Additionally, I utilized Veerle’s tutorial on comment boxes in Expression Engine to make my comments appear more stylish. You would know that if you were to comment on one of my entries. After all, if you never comment on blogs, you are missing out; Christian Montoya says so.
It’s also worth mentioning that my Notepad links are now being archived on my links page, just in case you happen to miss one.
