About J. Dakar
Date of Birth: 28 March 1984
Marital Status: Single
Concentration: Business Administration / Political Science / Leadership Studies
Tattoos: None / Piercings: Two

Interests/Hobbies
activism, film, international relations, law, music, socio-capitalism, vegetarianism, writing, yoga

Appearance
I stand at 6'7", have a light complexion, keep my head closely shaven and sport a diamond stud in each of my ears.

Beliefs
I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and consider myself to be an advocate of both human and animal rights. I loathe this modern notion of organized religion, consider myself to be environmentally-conscious and politically, I would classify myself as libertarian because I believe that individual well-being, prosperity and social harmony are fostered by "as much liberty as possible" and "as little government as necessary."

Characteristics
I'm pretty laid-back & mellow, but because I'm quite quiet and shy by nature, I'm sometimes perceived as being conceited or arrogant by people who do not take the time to really get to know me.

Words to Live By
"The status of a person is not how much money they have or what they do for a living --- the real importance of a person is how they treat everybody, particularly the people who are deemed lower than them in society."
- J. Dakar

"The measure of a man, sir, is not in money, position, station or possessions. These things mean nothing. The measure of a man is in his character, wisdom, ability, aliveness, intimacy, creativity, courage, fearlessness, perspective, independence and maturity..."
- Mark W. B. Brinton

“A well-formed figure is sexy; a well-formed sentence is sexier.”
- Meghan Jones

“Without education, you are not going anywhere in this world.”
- Malcolm X

“Question everything. Every stripe, every star, every word spoken.
Everything.”
- Ernest Gaines

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
- Romans 12:2

About Write State of Mind
Created in December of 2006, this is my online personal residence which contains writings centered around me and the world in which I live.

I have been writing online for about six years now. You may be familiar with my previous work, N-Retrospekt. This is something I do to keep my writing and quasi-design skills in working order. After all, "girls only want boyfriends who have great skills."

This site uses XHTML 1.0 Strict for markup and CSS for presentational elements.

All pages on this site are edited in and maintained by Expression Engine, my new blogging weapon of choice.

Notes

"One writes out of one thing only--one's own experience. Everything depends on how relentlessly one forces from the experience the last drop, sweet or bitter, it can possibly give."
- James Baldwin

- William Makepeace Thackeray
